Hua Thanon is a small and active fishing village on the south east coast of Samui and one of the first areas to be populated by the people from Hainan in China. A new shrine just off the ring road has been built in tribute to the Chinese God “Guan Yu” and there is a 16 metre tall bronze statue of “Guan Yu” which makes it taller than Big Buddha. Still very much a “locals” area with only a few incursions by foreigners and those mainly on the outskirts. Many of the old timber shop-houses still remain along the main ring road and you will see many of the long tail fishing boats moored along the beach.
This three bedroom single storey house was completed about 3 months ago and is situated to the south west of the village of Hua Thanon on the SE of Samui.
