Choengmon lies on the north east peninsular and adjoins Plai Laem to the west and Chaweng to the south. It is one of the more heavily developed areas with private villas and a number of high quality hotels including the Imperial Boat House and Sala Samui. The road running through Choengmon has numerous restaurants and the usual selection of tailors and convenience stores. Choengmon Beach is regarded as one of the best beaches in Samui being quieter and less crowded than the popular Chaweng and Lamai beaches.
